Experienced Project Manager

Intermediate / Senior Project Manager with Industrial project experience
LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Project Manager with Industrial project experience. This is a full-time position based out of LAFRAMBOISE GROUP’s corporate office located in Long Sault (Cornwall), Ontario.
LAFRAMBOISE GROUP is an industrial fabricator and contractor self-performing, Piping, Structural Steel, Sheetmetal, Millwrighting, Tanks and Vessels, Electrical and Instrumentation work. We have offices in Long Sault, Ontario, Syracuse, NY, and Bartow, FL and perform work throughout CANADA and THE continental USA.
Description of Position: Responsible for managing the LAFRAMBOISE GROUP projects, including managing subcontractors, consultants, and project staff, monitoring and updating project budget and schedule; forecasting costs and revenues, monitoring progress and administering changes; preparing project reports, managing project planning and estimating, and leading the bidding process required for the various projects.
- Managing and leading project resources,
- Managing prime contracts with clients and subcontracts for construction, supply of goods, and services.
- Leading and managing the estimating and bidding (RFP) process.
- Leading the procurement of subcontracts for services, construction, equipment, and facilities, including the preparation of RFPs and evaluation of bids.
- Establish a procurement and construction strategy with a focus on constructability, efficiency, and safety.
- Creating schedules and tracking progress through all project phases and ensuring deliverables stay on-time, on-target, and on-budget.
- Ensuring Health & Safety Policies and provincial health and safety regulations are understood and followed.
- Providing professional judgement and insight regarding project activities.
- Providing verbal and written project status updates and reports.
- Identifying on a timely basis all project barriers and strategies to overcome these barriers.
- Forecasting revenues and costs for each project to be incorporated in profit / loss reports.
- Preparing requests for changes in scope, budget, and schedule in a timely manner.
- Apply current civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical design standards and procedures as well as governmental and regulatory board standards as applicable.
- Travel to project sites as required.
Skills & Experience
- Experience managing multidisciplined industrial projects and contracts (combination of Civil and/or Structural and/or Mechanical and/or Piping and/or Electrical) ($15MM+).
- Engineering or technical degree (and eligible for professional status) with multidiscipline engineering and construction experience including civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical.
- At least 5 years of project management experience with an Industrial Contractor who was self-performing the Work (as a Project Manager, senior project Coordinator, Construction Manager, etc.).
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage concurrent contracts and projects.
- Proficient at analyzing, managing, and administering contract documentation.
- Posses a strong command of the English language, both written and oral (French / Spanish would be an asset).
- Have a strong working knowledge of MS 365 Office, MS Project, SharePoint, project controls and estimating software.
- Possess strong leadership skills and be able to provide professional judgement while performing role.
- Willingness and ability to relocate between Head Office and project sites for periods of 3 months to 2 years.
